The attacker who stabbed passengers on a high-speed train has reportedly suffered from mental health issues. The suspect is currently in police custody. The stabbing took place on a train travelling between Peterborough and Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. A 32-year-old British man from Peterborough is being questioned. Police have confirmed that the attack is not linked to terrorism.
The attack took place for 14 minutes after the train left Peterborough, leaving passengers stranded. The passengers who were stabbed had no way to escape, so they had to run through the carriage.
