The British Foreign Office has issued a new advisory for travellers to India following the blast near the Red Fort. The advisory is in response to the recent blasts in which 13 people were killed and many injured. The advisory is being issued due to the heightened security threat.
The advisory advises against travelling within 10 km of the India-Pakistan border including the closed Wagah-Attari border. It also advises against travelling to Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamar, Srinagar and the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
However,there is no ban on air travel to and from Jammu. There is also no ban on travel within Jammu city. The advisory advises that only essential travel should be made to Imphal and various parts of Manipur, including the capital.
